The Spanish Embassy draws inspiration from flamenco - a powerful cultural dance balancing restraint and eruption, mass and void, strength and elegance. At the heart of the project, a sculptural aluminum staircase unfolds through the building as a continuous circulation system, connecting levels and shaping movement through the space. Translating the rhythm and movement of flamenco into architectural form, the staircase becomes both a functional element and a defining feature of the interior.
The interior combines contemporary modernism, cubist influences, and parametric design to challenge conventional geometry and create a bold, expressive spatial language. Sculptural forms, sharp transitions, and contrasting masses extend the project's concept beyond the staircase and throughout the interior, creating a contemporary interpretation of Spanish identity and cultural heritage.
