ABOUT
THE PROJECT

Project Type:

[Japandi] [Final Project]

A spiritual and cultural renewal center set in the Judean Desert. The project reinterprets Jewish traditions through contemporary design, offering intimate and communal spaces for reflection, conversation, and inner connection. Built with sustainable salt bricks from the Dead Sea, the architecture balances raw and refined materials in harmonious contrast.

This project explores the intersection of tradition and modernity through a desert-based sanctuary for contemplation. Inspired by Jewish heritage, it creates a spatial dialogue between body and soul, nature and culture. The use of local salt bricks reflects a belief in transformation — in making something from something and something from nothing. Positioned far from the noise of the city, the center invites a deeper connection to self, space, and silence.
