Floating Living 2050 is a speculative housing project responding to the climate crisis and rising sea levels. Rooted in sustainability, social solidarity, and renewable energy, the project proposes a floating community designed to grow and adapt alongside its changing environment.
Inspired by the octopus and its ability to adapt and regenerate, the project is organized as a flexible modular system of interconnected arms. Each arm supports shared living and social spaces, while the structure can expand through new additions or separate in response to changing conditions. The result is a resilient living system that explores a symbiotic relationship between architecture, community, and the sea.
